Prince Narang from Artisan Design & Construction (formerly Royal Infrastructure) has demonstrated fraudulent and unethical behavior. Our experience with him has been fraught with difficulties and issues. In August 2022, we contracted Prince to build a new single-family home in Jersey City, NJ. By November 2023, he abruptly halted work, demanding an additional 20% payment, amounting to $115,000, without any legitimate justification. This demand stemmed from his gross mismanagement of our project funds.
Due to numerous issues and delay tactics, we decided to finish the project on our own. Prince not only failed to honor his contract but also made several critical mistakes during the build. These errors caused repeated flooding in our basement and leaks in our roof. Instead of addressing the mold growing on our walls, he had his team paint over it.
When we attempted to file an insurance claim for the basement flooding and roof leaks, we discovered that Prince had provided a fraudulent certificate of insurance (COI). He submitted this fake COI to the building department, the Department of Community Affairs, and our bank.
Prince also falsified municipal documents, claiming he had paid the water and sewer connection fees when he had not. He misappropriated our funds, forcing us to pay nearly $5,000 to the Jersey City Municipal Authority to avoid fines.
Prince forged my name on bank documents requesting payments without our knowledge. He also did not complete the work stated in the contract, using lies and delay tactics to constantly stall our project, blame us, and try to extort more funds. He currently owes us more than $80,000 and walked away, leaving us to finish the job with our own money.
Prince is currently being prosecuted by the city, and this information is publicly accessible via the NJ Municipal Case Search. Additionally, he failed to pay his subcontractors despite us paying him for their work, resulting in the subcontractors seeking payment from us directly. Completing the home build ourselves has significantly increased our costs.
We regret our decision to hire Prince and want to warn others to avoid a similar nightmare. There are several other home owners that were affected by Prince's fradulent actions. We have reported him to the Division of Banking and Insurance, the Department of Community Affairs, and the building department. In the end we are hoping Prince faces the Justice Systems and lose his license for all his shady practices. Prince now paying for BOTS to give him 5 stars in his google review page for Artistan Design and Construction. He is trying to hide all the 1 star reviews, this is how shady he is.
Below are documents related to Prince Narang's court date, where he is being prosecuted by Jersey City MUA. Additionally, these photos detail the multiple floods and mold we experienced due to his negligence. home contractors
